When I think of vultures, I often picture a group of them gathered together in the valley of a burnt ochre shorn hayfield, as I make my way along the glittering white gravel road that winds through it. They were a regular siting on drives to and from our lake cottage and I always remember my mom calling and pointing them out to us.

The black vultures featured in this art print are not the same vultures that I grew up seeing, but they are equally fascinating creatures who often mate for life.

These prints are sourced from my beautiful collection of 4×6″ charcoal pencil and linoprint originals titled the Fauna Collection. Created together in October 2020, they are a meditation on the diversity of wildlife found in our back yards. Many of the creatures featured are characters in my own life story. Now it’s time for them to have a place in your home.
