Eusociality

— 4×6” original art
— charcoal, pastel, and copper metallic pencil
— toned, acid free paper

Having a honey bee colony has been on my bucket list possibly since Chuck Charles had her rooftop hives on Pushing Daisies. I have yet to make any progress on said beekeeping desires, but if there was ever a place to do it, it would be in North Carolina (where the western honey bee is our state insect). Did y’all know that bees have five eyes? Honey bees also use dancing to pass on direction, distance, and quality of nectar sources to others in their hive. ⁣Get your shake, waggle, and loop on with this art print!

The

Fauna Collection

This collection of beautiful 4×6″ charcoal pencil and linoprint originals were created in the month of October as a meditation on the diversity of nature found in our back yards. Following prompts from the Wild October draw list, many of the creatures featured are characters in my own life story. Now it’s time for them to have a place in your home.
