War Dance
— 4×6” original art
— charcoal, pastel, and copper metallic pencil
— toned, acid free paper
One of the most memorable pets we had as kids were two sweet ferrets named Molly and Maggie. They were adorable little cuties full of mischief. Playfully, they would show their little teeth and bounce up and down, doing the best imitation of a weasel war dance that they could. Featured in this art print is not the popular, fuzzy, pet ferret, but the wild and legitimately fierce black-footed ferret – one of the most endangered mammals in North America due to disease and human destruction of their native habitat.
