I spent many mornings waiting for the school bus, or summer afternoons home from school, crawling around on the front steps of the house where I grew up. I’d check for snails, mark their daily progress, and even try to get them to race. This piece captures the essence of those childhood moments, featuring a confident little snail taking in her surroundings.

Fauna Collection

This collection of beautiful 4×6″ charcoal pencil and linoprint originals were created in the month of October as a meditation on the diversity of nature found in our back yards. Following prompts from the Wild October draw list, many of the creatures featured are characters in my own life story. Now it’s time for them to have a place in your home.
