The call of bullfrogs tightly mingle throughout my childhood memories. It was easy to become enamored with the sounds of frogs and toads, but the most distinctive of all was the loud buzzing croak of the bullfrog, mingling with the hazy whine of hot summer twilight on the lake at our family camp.

This art piece is a portal to those warm summer nights at the family camp. The bullfrog’s distinctive croak, a sound that defined my childhood summers, is captured in visual form. Fauna Collection

This collection of beautiful 4×6″ charcoal pencil and linoprint originals were created in the month of October as a meditation on the diversity of nature found in our back yards. Following prompts from the Wild October draw list, many of the creatures featured are characters in my own life story. Now it’s time for them to have a place in your home.
